Agaves are succulents with a large rosette of thick, fleshy leaves, with most species ending in a sharp terminal spine. The stout stem is usually short, the leaves apparently springing from the root.
Haworthias are dainty succulent plants which are frequently compared to Aloes, this is hardly surprising since they are both members of the Asphodeloideae family.
Ariocarpus Trigonus is a Mexican native, forming yellow green tubercle ‘leaves’, they are usually twice as long (3 – 8 cm) as they are wide (2 – 5 cm). It is usually found in the wild partially buried with only its ‘leaf’ tips showing through.
